Whether you are into the typical camping/camper experience, or you like the more “luxurious” camping with internet, tv, and A/C, Yogi has what you are looking for.
We have had the opportunity to stay at Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park in upstate New York in the past, but each time we go it gets better and better! The most recent time, we were so excited to take advantage of the lazy river as it was just nearing the end of its construction when we last “roughed it” in a cottage, with the A/C blasting!

Needless to say, we were not disappointed! Whether you are an adult letting out your inner child, or a child wanting to relax and let the water move you, the lazy river is the perfect accessory to an already perfect experience at Yogi. Check out some of the fun and exciting times we had while putting the lazy into lazy river.

While we stayed in the cottages before, this time was different. We had the amazing opportunity to stay in one of the brand new, absolutely gorgeous 2-bedroom bungalows. Like I said, I prefer to glamp than camp, and that is what we did! These cottages had 2 bedrooms, a full kitchen, bathroom, and a loft area that Adam Jr could have lived in for the rest of his life if he had the chance. Up and down, up and down, up and down the ladder he went, and each time was like the first. He loved the cottage for the loft, we loved it because it felt like home.
If you love the water, and you are a little fish like our son is, there are plenty of other amenities that you can take advantage of. There are a number of pools available to enjoy, and get this, they are heated! That was one of my favorite parts about the pools, because even on a hot day cold water in the pool can take away from the fun!
There is also the water zone and the water slides if you are looking to take your water experience to the extreme! With fun slides overlooking the splash grounds area, and the gigantic water silo aggressively dumping gallons of water from above, it is sure to have your party erupting in laughter and fun!

If more natural water activities are what you seek to help relax your vacation, there are plenty of fishing spots on the Wallkill River where you can unwind in quiet solitude and cast your line in hopes to catch trout, bass, catfish, amongst others.
Care to stay dry instead? No problem, they have that too! There are lots of playgrounds where the kids can spend hours upon hours just having good wholesome fun!

There is a ball field where you can bring your equipment and have fun, bring a kite and make it fly, or just walk and enjoy the serenity around you. Play horseshoes, shuffleboard or volleyball with your friends and family and get that competitive spirit out in the open!
There are so many attractions and activities to do at Yogi, the family will never be bored! Go gem mining and see your children’s faces light up when they discover the perfect jewel from within the sands.

Play Minigolf and try to get a hole in one! But don’t forget to grab a bite to eat, or a drink while you are there at the Tiki Snack Bar, or ice cream at Bear Outpost, especially on those warm and beautiful days.
One of the experiences that our son absolutely loved was the scheduled craft sessions. We love these because it allowed us to slow down a bit, but our son loved them because any time there are crafts and you have a young child, you can expect to see their creative juices flowing. Make sure to schedule some time to do crafts, you will not regret it!

Crafts are not the only scheduled events at Yogi. Keep an ear to the ground as Yogi hosts DJs, Live Bands, Karaoke, and lots more!
Who would have thought that all of this excitement and memory making ability was just a few hours up the road? Well, we did, you know because we have been here before! With a simple 2-hour drive from our house, Yogi is an absolute must do! There is no need to travel into a big city and deal with the hustle and bustle of traffic and bright lights. Instead make your way out into nature, take a deep breath, and enjoy your surroundings! We sure did!
